Coronavirus Infections Top 6,000 Per Day Nationwide

BERLIN, GERMANY – OCTOBER 15: Samples stand at a Covid-19 testing station set up at Berlin main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) during the coronavirus pandemic on October 15, 2020 in Berlin, Germany. Covid-19 daily infection rates topped 6,000 nationwide yesterday after rising steadily since August and mirroring similar trends across Europe. Germany has instituted travel restrictions within the country in order to rein in the spread of the virus, namely that people traveling from coronavirus hotspots such as Berlin must show a recent negative Covid test if they want to stay in a hotel in most other German states.
