Dopo le recenti dichiarazioni di Thomas Hitzlsperger dell’Aston Villa, che ha reso nota la propria omosessualità, Joey Barton, centrocampista del Queens Park Rangers, ha voluto dire la propria, come sempre, senza peli sulla lingua: “Thomas oggi è stato molto coraggioso. Sono tempi tristi, questi, in cui una persona deve attendere la fine della carriera per fare outing“. Barton, poi, ha attaccato Alex, difensore del Psg, che si era esposto contro l’omosessualità dichiarando che “Dio ha creato Adamo ed Eva e non Adamo ed Ivo“: “Purtroppo ci sono i fanatici religiosi, che hanno subito il lavaggio del cervello, i quali credono ad un libro immaginario di due millenni fa. Alex non fa che confermare le mie teorie sul fatto che, per essere estremisti religiosi, bisogna essere parecchio stupidi“.
